BACK TO NATURE - HOW TO LOVE LIFE AND SAVE IT
British publishers like Hodder & Stoughton and DK on some exciting projects. For Hodder & Stoughton, I designed the cover and illustrations for Back to Nature by Chris Packham and Megan McCubbin. The artwork reflects the book’s focus on reconnecting with nature, using bold colors and clean, organic visuals to highlight the beauty of wildlife and the outdoors.
For DK, I created illustrations for a bestselling author’s book on permaculture. The illustrations were designed to break down complex ideas about sustainable living and gardening in a way that’s clear, engaging, and easy to understand. My work combined vibrant details with practical visuals to bring the concepts to life.
These projects have been a great opportunity to combine my love of nature and illustration, creating work that’s both inspiring and informative.
'One thing has become clear - we need nature more than ever.'
I created the cover design and spot illustrations for Back to Nature by Chris Packham and Megan McCubbin, a book all about reconnecting with the natural world and protecting it. The design features bold, clean illustrations of wildlife like a fox and European badger, paired with a fresh, earthy color palette that reflects the beauty of the outdoors. The goal was to capture the book's message of hope and conservation in a way that feels approachable and inspiring.
Chris Packham is one of the UK's top television naturalists and an award-winning conservationist, photographer and author. He is a presenter of BBC’s BAAFTA Award winning Springwatch and more.
This book is a powerful call to action, filled with personal stories, conservation breakthroughs, and fascinating scientific discoveries.
Over the years, I’ve had the chance to work with amazing publishers like DK and Hodder & Stoughton, creating covers and illustrations that bring stories to life. This project was a great opportunity to combine my love of wildlife with meaningful design.
The illustrations inside the book capture the essence of each chapter, simplified into a single black and white image. The spot illustrations invite and guide the reader through the pages.
